Bible NT OT Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between the King James translation (KJV) and the New King James translation (NKJV)?

A: The New King James translation uses the same basic translation as the King James, but uses less of the old English words as the King James translation. As an example, "sayeth", "doeth", "thee", and "thou" are KJV words. "Says", "does", and "you" are used for those same words in the NKJV.

Q: What is your return policy?

A: Our goal is to take every precaution to make sure that your satisfaction is met, that the products you receive are as described and in excellent condition. If you find them unsatisfactory, please contact us first as we may have you return them to someone other than us, and then return them within two weeks for a replacement or refund, depending on what the reason for the return is. Any replacement will be handled promptly. Any refund will be debited to your credit card account or credited to your debit card account promptly. Any product that is damaged during shipping will be replaced, but any product damaged after receipt by you will be subject to inspection and possible denial of refund or replacement by us.

Q: What shipping method do you use?

A: The products we sell come from varying manufacturers and publishers. Their shipping and handling policies differ. Please refer to our "Bible NT OT Shipping Information" page for full details. We will respond to each order with a confirmation e-mail. All credit and debit card orders should be delivered within 10 to 15 business days of the order receipt, and sooner in many cases. Our manufacturers/publishers will try to provide the most economical shipping method to send your order. If you elect to have an expedited order, which we provide as an option, the shipping charges will, of course, increase. Orders sent with checks or money orders will be held for 5 to 10 business days for the checks/money orders to clear before the orders are forwarded to be filled and shipped.

Q: How do I place an order?

A: It's very easy. Simply click on the "Add to my cart" icon next to each product you want to order. You will subsequently be asked to give the quantity you want to order of that product. Once you are done ordering all of the products you want, click on "Check Out". You will be provided with a display of your entire order showing the items ordered, their costs, the shipping and handling fees, and a total dollar amount. There will be a place to enter the "Ship To" information and the "Bill To" information. Then follow the directions to complete your order. You will also receive an acknowledgement e-mail from us with a copy of your complete order.

Q: How long will it take for my order to arrive?

A: We attempt to have the manufacturers/publishers have all orders filled and shipped within five to seven business days of receipt of your order, except for those paid for with a check or money order. Then, depending on the shipping method, it should take from three to seven additional business days for you to receive your order. Our goal is for you to have the products you ordered in two weeks or less from the time we receive the order. The delivery time is normally much less than the two weeks, but sometimes it does take that long. The orders paid for by check or money order are held an additional 5 to 10 business days to allow them to clear before being forwarded to be filled and shipped.

Q: What payment method can I use?

A: We accept American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa, and PayPal. You may also pay by mailing a check or money order made out to Bible NT OT and mailing it to us at: Bible NT OT, P. O. Box 550, Nevada, TX 75173. All checks and money orders must clear before the orders are filled, which usually takes 5 to 10 business days. Repeat customers that have used checks or money orders on previous orders may not be subject to this delay.

Q: What do I do if my order arrives damaged?

A: Our goal is to take every precaution to make sure that your satisfaction is met, that the products you receive are as described and in excellent condition. Any product that is damaged during shipping will be replaced, but any product damaged after receiptby you will be subject to inspection and possible denial of refund or replacement by us. Please contact us first, before returning any product. We may have you return it to someone other than us.

Q: How do I contact you if I have problems or questions?

A: If you have any questions that are not answered within our "Frequently Asked Questions", you can contact us in the following ways: E-mail us at "biblentot@vsswireless.net". Q: What is the NIV translation?

A: NIV stands for New International Version. It is worded with more common contemporary wording than the KJV, NKJV, and NASB translations. It is also written more in a paragraph format than the others with the verse numbers embedded within the paragraphs instead of at the beginning of the first line of each verse.

Q: What is the NAS or NASB translation?

A: NAS stands for New American Standard. NASB stands for New American Standard Bible. They are one and the same but the abbreviation NASB is more widely used. This translation uses modern American English and is in chapter and verse format. It was originally started in 1959 and first published in 1971. It is easier for most people to understand today than the more formal KJV and NKJV translations, still holding to the accurateness of the original Scriptures but without the paragraph formatting of the NIV translation.

Q: What is the KJV translation?

A: The King James Version (KJV) translation is to most people the most prestigious version in the history of English Bible translations. This time-honored version of 1611, itself a revision of the Bishop's Bible of 1568, became the basis for the English Revised version appearing in 1881 (New Testament) and 1885 (Old Testament).

Q: What is the NKJV translation?

A: The New King James (NKJV) translation is the KJV updated with less formal pronouns and a lot less of the old English words seldom used today, even in Great Britain.

Q: Do you have a physical store I can shop at?

A: No, we are internet merchants with online sales only.

Q: Can I order for myself and send a gift to someone else at a different address?

A: Yes, as separate orders. Enter the person's address that is receiving the gift shipment in the normal "Ship To" portion of the order form for that gift order. Enter your address in the normal "Ship To" portion of the order form for your own order.

Q: What is the best Bible translation or version?

A: This is strictly a personal decision. We briefly describe the differences between the translations we sell on our web-site on the "Bible Translation Guide" page. You will need to decide which one fits your Bible reading and study needs best. Some people buy more than one translation in order to fulfill their needs. We also sell a multiple translation edition of the Bible.

Q: Do you have large print Bibles?

A: Yes, we offer them in large print for as many of the translations we sell as we can find from the publishers. Please check the pages of our web-site for them. We have one page that lists only the large print editions.

Q: Do your Bibles have a warranty?

A: The Bibles we sell are warrantied by the manufacturers or publishers against defects in printing and binding. We will honor all manufacturer and publisher warranties. Each Bible shipped should have a copy of the manufacturer's and/or publisher's warranty with it. No other warranties are implied.

Q: Do you sell only Bibles?

A: No, we also sell many different Bible study quides and aids, pamphlets, wall charts, Bible covers, Bible accessories, Sunday School curriculum, Vacation Bible School curriculum, craft kits, and other religious literature and products. Please check our web-site for these other items of importance.

Q: Do you have audio Bibles?

A: Yes, we sell Bibles recorded on tapes and cassettes in the KJV, NKJV, NASB, and NIV translations. We want those who cannot see well to be able to hear God's words recorded, as well as those who prefer to listen to them as another form of their study of the Scriptures. You can listen to them while you are in your car, outside enjoying God's creations and the peacefulness of nature, or in the quiet of your home.

Q: Do you carry other Christian books?

A: Yes, we carry many different Christian books. Please refer to our web-site for other choices to help your understanding of God's word.
